Since its opening in August 1996, TEMBO has emerged to become THE Major Entertainment attraction in Mombasa for Kenyans and Tourists. Tembo was built in an old quarry in a typical East-African building style with a huge Makuti (Swahili for Palm-Leaf) covered roof. In order to keep its unique style, the quarry was left as much as possible in it's original condition. various species of tropical plants and flowers and a number of decorative light effects give TEMBO DISCO its enchanting atmosphere.
